United Airlines has unveiled a new premium service class, named Polaris Studio, which will provide travelers with a luxurious flying experience that boasts 25 percent more space than the current business class suites. This exciting enhancement is set to redefine comfort in the skies, offering passengers significant benefits and more sophisticated amenities.
The Polaris Studio will feature a newly designed ottoman seat equipped with a seat belt, allowing passengers to safely engage with a travel companion during the flight. In addition, travelers can expect the industry’s largest in-flight screens at 27 inches, offering 4K resolution for an enhanced entertainment experience.
Further elevating the overall journey, Polaris Studio will come with upgraded amenity kits and improved dining options, including offerings such as caviar, special pajamas and slippers, playing cards, and high-quality headphones.
On the ground, United Airlines enhances the travel experience with a VIP service, allowing passengers to utilize the Global Services check-in and reception areas, which offer priority baggage check and expedited security processes at select airports. Additionally, the airline’s Tarmac Transfer program facilitates quick vehicle transport from gate to gate.
Although the pricing details for the Polaris Studio have yet to be released, United Airlines plans to roll out at least 30 new aircraft featuring this cabin by 2027, with the inaugural flight scheduled for 2026, linking San Francisco International Airport (SFO) and Singapore’s Changi Airport (SIN).
Moreover, United’s existing Polaris cabin is set for a facelift with features such as larger screens, a premium wood finish, soft ambient lighting, and a revamped snack bar. The airline’s Premium Plus economy cabin will also see updates, including new privacy barriers between seats.
Andrew Nocella, Chief Commercial Officer of United Airlines, remarked that these innovations aim to enhance the company’s already superior international experience, bolstering its appeal to customers as it positions itself for continued growth in the coming decade and beyond.
With these enhancements, United Airlines is poised to offer travelers an upgraded experience that prioritizes comfort, luxury, and efficiency.
