Ukraine has successfully launched UK-supplied Storm Shadow missiles at targets within Russia for the first time, according to reports. Until now, Ukraine was restricted to deploying these long-range missiles solely within its own borders. This significant development follows the recent permission granted by US President Joe Biden for Ukraine to utilize US-supplied long-range missiles against Russian targets. Matthew Miller, spokesperson for the US State Department, refrained from commenting on the specifics of the missile attacks when asked about potential navigational support provided by the US.
President Volodymyr Zelensky has consistently urged Western allies to approve the deployment of long-range missiles against Russian targets, asserting that such measures are crucial for bringing the war to a conclusion.
