The UFC is set to embark on a new era as it launches its partnership with Paramount+ at UFC 324: GAETHJE vs PIMBLETT this Saturday at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. This landmark event is designed to reach not only the loyal fan base of the UFC but also a vast audience of potential new viewers. With all marquee numbered events now available without a pay-per-view charge on Paramount+ in the U.S. and Latin America, the stakes are high for this collaboration.

Craig Borsari, chief content officer and executive producer of UFC, is at the forefront of reimagining the viewer experience in this new format. In a recent interview, Borsari expressed excitement about working with the seasoned production teams at Paramount and CBS Sports, asserting that the collaboration presents dynamic opportunities for innovation. He noted the enthusiasm within the UFC’s production team to explore new production elements, stating, “It’s definitely invigorating to collaborate with a different production team.”

As the UFC production team transitions to Paramount+, they will be responsible for all live event programming as well as pre- and post-show productions for every numbered event. This marks a notable change from their previous partnership with ESPN, which handled certain post-event productions. Borsari confirmed that while some procedures would remain the same, the UFC team is ready to embrace new challenges and responsibilities.

To celebrate the launch, the UFC is also working on a new graphics package that reflects both the evolution of the sport and its partnership with Paramount+. Although the graphics will have a slightly different look, their core elements will retain familiarity for existing fans. The full graphics relaunch is expected later this year.

Production innovations are a key focus as well. Borsari mentioned new production technologies that will soon be integrated into the broadcast, including updates in audio and enhanced viewer engagement through biometrics. Wearable cameras for referees are a significant addition, providing real-time insights into the action that will be cut into live broadcasts.

Furthermore, significant renovations are underway at the UFC Apex facility, which will feature expanded seating, improved hospitality spaces, and upgraded amenities to enhance the overall event experience for fans. With this expansion, the UFC aims to cultivate a vibrant atmosphere and further engage its audience.

As the transition to Paramount+ unfolds, the UFC aims to remain consistent in messaging and storytelling, ensuring that both long-time fans and newcomers feel welcomed. Borsari highlighted the strength of the UFC’s on-air talent—led by notable figures such as Jon Anik, Joe Rogan, and Daniel Cormier—who will be pivotal in introducing new viewers to the sport.

With UFC 324 set to kick off this transformational journey, fans can anticipate an exciting and enhanced experience that not only showcases the best in mixed martial arts but also broadens the reach of the sport. The UFC’s dedication to innovation and excellence promises an engaging future as it embraces new technologies and collaborations.
