Miami-Dade Police Department Director Stephanie V. Daniels announced that an internal investigation is underway regarding the incident, noting that one officer involved has been reassigned to administrative duties. Additionally, another Dolphins player claimed he was handcuffed while attempting to intervene in the situation.
In a statement, Daniels emphasized her commitment to transparency and accountability regarding the actions of her officers. Hill’s season began memorably with a dramatic victory over the Jaguars, where he celebrated a touchdown with a gesture resembling being in handcuffs.
