Tyreek Hill Addresses Trade Rumors Amidst Dolphins’ Struggles

The Miami Dolphins’ 1-3 record at the start of the 2024 NFL season has sparked early trade rumors surrounding Tyreek Hill. The seasoned wide receiver hopes to quell this speculation.

During Wednesday’s practice, Hill was questioned about the trade rumors, particularly the possibility that the Kansas City Chiefs might seek his services following Rashee Rice’s potential season-ending injury.

In response, Hill firmly expressed his desire to stay with the Dolphins despite their disappointing start. “I’m just focused on right here and right now,” the 30-year-old stated to reporters. “We’ve got a beautiful team here, and I want to be a part of it.”

Hill shared the reasons for his affection for his current situation in Miami, noting, “My family loves it. I enjoy it; the weather’s great; the fans are great; so, we’ve got a beautiful situation here.”

However, he acknowledged that the Dolphins’ performance could influence his future with the team, especially if they struggle to succeed without quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who has been sidelined since Week 2 due to a concussion. If Tagovailoa does not return, Miami might consider selling players before the trade deadline.

Hill’s awareness of the trade rumors was evident, particularly after he shared a cryptic post on social media just hours before practice. Despite the uncertainty, he remains calm about the possibility of being traded, stating, “My parents always taught me [to] control the controllables. I can only control so much. We all know the NFL is a business. Whatever happens, happens.”

Ultimately, while a trade could send the five-time All-Pro receiver away from Miami, Hill expressed a strong desire to continue his career with the Dolphins. “Moving forward, I would love to be here,” he affirmed. “I love being here.”
