Tyler, the Creator has announced the release of his new album titled “Don’t Tap the Glass,” which is set to drop on Monday, July 21. The anticipation surrounding this release has been building over the past week, as Tyler hinted at new music, and fans speculated about what was coming.
On Friday, Tyler’s Golf Wang website showcased a new merchandise line for the album, including vinyl records, t-shirts, and hats, solidifying the upcoming album launch. The excitement reached a peak during his live performance in Brooklyn, where Tyler publicly mentioned the album title, and the announcement has also been validated by publication Variety.
“Don’t Tap the Glass” marks Tyler’s ninth studio album, following his previous release, “Chromakopia,” which launched without extensive promotion just weeks ahead of its debut in October 2022. That album included collaborations with notable artists like Doechii, Childish Gambino, GloRilla, and Lil Wayne, and was accompanied by a world tour that featured Lil Yachty and Paris Texas.
While still on the “Chromakopia” tour, which concludes its New York City leg at the Barclays Center, Tyler is preparing for an extensive North American tour that will extend to locations in Australia, Japan, South Korea, and Thailand, before wrapping up with two performances in the Philippines at Araneta Coliseum on September 20-21.
In recent weeks, Tyler has also contributed to Clipse’s new project, “Let God Sort Em Out,” featuring on the track “P.O.V.,” showcasing his continued influence and presence in the hip-hop scene.
This upcoming album release brings an exciting new chapter for Tyler and his fans, and the momentum from his ongoing tour coupled with new music promises to keep his audience engaged and eager. The blend of live performances and fresh content may spark even greater enthusiasm for his innovative artistry.
