As the 2025 Vodafone Sukuna Bowl approaches, scheduled to kick off on November 17 in Suva, the Army netball team is showing strong confidence despite a shorter preparation period. With only two weeks left until the competition, team representative Esita Batiniqila noted that the buildup for this year is considerably different from past events due to time constraints.
Batiniqila shared, “Preparations this year are a bit different compared to the past few years due to the lack of time given to us to prepare, and as we know, the competition is two weeks away.” Nevertheless, she expressed confidence in the team’s abilities and the training they have received, saying, “However, we are confident in ourselves and what the coaches have equipped us with.”
The Army team is eager to defend their title at the annual Sukuna Bowl, which also includes rugby and soccer matches taking place in Vanua Levu on November 20 and 21. Batiniqila encouraged fans and families to come out and support the team as they aim to maintain their championship status.
In the spirit of rivalry, the Police netball team has been equally determined, engaging in intensive training sessions to reclaim the title they last held before the Army’s recent winning streak. This competition heightens the atmosphere as both teams are committed to delivering exceptional performances.
The Sukuna Bowl serves not only as a showcase of athletic talent but also as a celebration of community spirit, bringing together supporters and players. With both teams diligently preparing for this highly anticipated matchup, there is a strong hope that they will inspire future participation and foster unity within the community. The thrilling encounters ahead are set to highlight the best of competition and camaraderie.
