Netflix has unveiled the highly anticipated trailer for its forthcoming series “His & Hers,” starring Tessa Thompson and Jon Bernthal. This six-episode drama, described as “seductive and twisty,” is based on the captivating novel by Alice Feeney, which promises to keep viewers on the edge of their seats.

Set in Dahlonega, Georgia, the series follows Anna Andrews (Thompson), a field reporter who returns to her hometown after the police discover a woman murdered in the woods. Complicating matters, her estranged husband, Detective Jack Harper (Bernthal), is the one leading the investigation into the murder. The trailer hints at a tension-filled narrative where mistrust brews between the couple, each suspecting the other and questioning their motivations in connection to the shocking crime.

The phrase “There are two sides to every story. Ours and theirs. Yours and mine. His and hers,” encapsulates the series’ exploration of perspective and deceit, setting the stage for a complex and intriguing storyline.

Directed by William Oldroyd, known for his acclaimed work on “Lady Macbeth,” the series boasts a talented cast that includes Pablo Schreiber as Anna’s cameraman Richard and Crystal Fox as Anna’s mother, Alice. Sunita Mani portrays Jack’s police partner Priya, while Rebecca Rittenhouse takes on the role of Lexy Jones, an ambitious journalist who replaced Anna.

With Tessa Thompson executive producing and Dee Jones as showrunner, “His & Hers” is set to debut on Netflix on January 8, 2026. Thompson expressed her excitement about the project, stating that she was immediately drawn to it during her initial discussions with Oldroyd. She noted the importance of bringing a fresh perspective to the genre, highlighting her admiration for the source material.

As excitement builds for the series premiere, viewers can look forward to an intense narrative blending themes of love, betrayal, and the pursuit of truth, making it a must-watch for fans of gripping drama.
