Bram Stoker used local folklore and superstition to craft his iconic character, originally inspired by the infamous 15th-century ruler Vlad Tepes, known for his brutal methods against enemies. Although Stoker never set foot in Transylvania, his vivid descriptions have made it a literary landmark.
The landscape comes alive as we cross into Transylvania, revealing a backdrop of stunning natural beauty, from rolling hills to serene rivers. Approximately four hours from Bucharest, the journey takes us to Sibiu, a picturesque medieval city founded by Saxons in the 1100s.
