The case involving the alleged murder of Police Constable Peniasi Racagi has advanced to the High Court, with Keni Solowale, 42, and Jope Seniloli, 20, now facing charges in connection with his death. Both suspects appeared before the Suva Magistrates Court, where the gravity of the charges was emphasized by Magistrate Sofia Yamza, who classified the allegations as serious and an indictable offence.

The two men, residents of Qauia in Lami, are accused of aiding another individual in causing injuries to Constable Racagi over the period of February 21 and 22, 2026, ultimately resulting in his death. While Seniloli has secured legal representation, Solowale is currently without a lawyer. Both individuals remain in custody and are scheduled to return to court for their next hearing at the Suva High Court on March 19.

This pivotal development highlights the legal system’s commitment to addressing serious crimes, ensuring accountability, and upholding justice for those who dedicate their lives to serving and protecting the community.
