The White House is ramping up efforts to promote President Trump’s ‘Big Beautiful Bill’, enlisting several congressional members in a new campaign video aimed at securing passage by the upcoming July 4th deadline. Featured in the video are senators and representatives who express their support for the bill, which passed the House by a narrow Republican majority of 215-214.

The video, exclusive to a news outlet, showcases Senators Roger Marshall of Kansas and Dave McCormick of Pennsylvania, along with Representatives Chuck Fleischmann, Diana Harshbarger, Erin Houchin, and Anna Paulina Luna. The lawmakers emphasize the bill’s potential to prevent what they call the “largest tax increase in history,” while also securing funding for border security and energy development, alongside tax relief measures. Houchin highlighted that the bill is beneficial for working families, while Luna touted expansions in child tax credits and the elimination of taxes on tips.

President Trump, during a speech at the annual Congressional picnic, reiterated the urgency in passing the legislation, calling it possibly the most important bill in decades. Despite some Republican senators voicing concerns about its spending and impact on the deficit, Trump maintains a hopeful stance, suggesting that the tax cuts proposed could stimulate economic growth and increase treasury revenues.

However, not all Republican senators are on board. Senator Rand Paul has publicly expressed his discontent, stating that he requires further negotiations to support the bill. He remarked that his initial exclusion from the picnic felt “incredibly petty,” though he later accepted Trump’s invitation to attend.

The bill has not only faced partisan division with Democrats unanimously opposing it, but it has also faced criticism from high-profile figures such as Elon Musk, who labeled it as a “massive, outrageous” spending initiative. As the Senate prepares to address the legislation, Senate Majority Leader John Thune notes that losing four Republican votes could jeopardize its chances, but pointed out the potential for Vice President JD Vance to cast a tie-breaking vote if needed.

Despite the challenges ahead, there remains a sense of urgency and determination among supporters as they strive to secure a significant legislative win before the holiday. The ongoing discussions and the involvement of Congress members depict a dynamic political landscape with wide-reaching implications for the economy and American families.
