President Donald Trump is scheduled to visit Fort Bragg on Tuesday, where he will engage with thousands of soldiers and review significant military displays. Prior to his speech, there will be a readiness demonstration featuring paratroopers and military equipment. To facilitate the large turnout, attendees should note that parking will be available in designated lots, with shuttles running to Pike Field starting at 9:30 a.m. Event gates will open at 10:30 a.m., and visitors are advised to arrive early to accommodate security checks and transport.
In conjunction with the Fort Bragg event, a major military parade is planned in Washington, D.C. on Saturday, celebrating the Army’s 250th birthday. This parade will showcase around 130 vehicles and over 7,000 soldiers, with Fort Bragg’s troops set to participate as well.
Fort Bragg recently returned to its original name on March 7, now honoring Private First Class Roland L. Bragg, a World War II hero, rather than the Confederate General Braxton Bragg. This change reflects a broader initiative to rename military installations associated with the Confederacy.
