President-elect Donald Trump announced on Friday that Karoline Leavitt will take on the role of White House press secretary. Leavitt, who was the national press secretary for Trump’s campaign this election cycle, has also served as a spokesperson for the transition team since Election Day. Leavitt previously ran for Congress in New Hampshire in 2022 but was defeated by incumbent Democratic Representative Chris Pappas. She also served as an assistant press secretary during Trump’s first term.
