Treylon Burks Eyes Fresh Start After Broncos Visit, Set to Meet Commanders

Treylon Burks is exploring his options as he continues his tour of NFL teams. Following a productive visit with the Denver Broncos earlier this week, the wide receiver is now scheduled to meet with the Washington Commanders, as reported by NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Burks’ encounter with the Broncos was reportedly positive, but he is taking his time before making a decision. According to the Denver Post’s Luca Evans, the 25-year-old receiver, who was drafted in the first round by the Tennessee Titans out of Arkansas in 2022, is in “no rush” to sign with a new team. Throughout his three years and 27 games with the Titans, Burks recorded 53 receptions for 699 yards and one touchdown. Although he faced injury challenges, including a fractured collarbone this summer, he appears to have recovered and is ready to contribute.

Currently, the Broncos feature five wide receivers on their active roster: Courtland Sutton, Troy Franklin, Pat Bryant, Marvin Mims, and Trent Sherfield, in addition to three others on the practice squad: Samori Toure, A.T. Perry, and Michael Bandy. The potential addition of Burks could strengthen their receiving corps, making for an interesting offseason as he continues to evaluate his options.

As he navigates this critical phase in his career, fans and analysts alike are eagerly watching to see where Burks will land and how he can bounce back from past injuries to capitalize on his talent in the NFL.
