A 23-year-old man named Anthony Reyes was arrested early Tuesday after he trespassed on the Mar-a-Lago property in Palm Beach, Florida. According to court records, the incident occurred shortly after midnight when the U.S. Secret Service apprehended Reyes, who admitted to illegally entering the estate by jumping over a wall.
In his statement to the Secret Service, Reyes claimed that his intention was to “spread the Gospel to the POTUS and marry Kai,” alluding to President Donald Trump’s granddaughter, Kai Trump. This was not Reyes’s first transgression at Mar-a-Lago; he had previously been caught trespassing on the same property in December 2024.
Reyes, a resident of Texas, is currently being held on a bond set at $50,000 for one count of occupied trespassing. The Palm Beach area has witnessed several similar incidents in recent months, with reported trespassing cases occurring in February and January of this year.
The ongoing incidents raise concerns about security at high-profile locations like Mar-a-Lago, particularly during politically sensitive times. It’s important to note that while many individuals might wish to express their thoughts or beliefs to public figures, there are lawful and safe avenues to do so. The escalation of such incidents emphasizes the need for strong security measures in places associated with prominent figures.
