Trainual, a provider of business documentation and employee onboarding software, has entered into a two-year sponsorship agreement with the Phoenix Suns and Mercury. This partnership designates Trainual as the official onboarding partner for both teams, marking a new marketing category for them. As part of the sponsorship, Trainual will gain exposure through courtside signage and augmented reality logo projections during local broadcasts of Suns games. Additionally, the Suns and Mercury plan to utilize Trainual’s platform for new employee orientation and compliance training initiatives.

Though the financial details of the agreement were not disclosed, Trainual co-founder Jonathan Ronzio noted that sports represents an emerging market for the company, which has nearly 10,000 clients. Chris Ronzio, co-founder and CEO, emphasized the importance of customer experience in sports, where high turnover rates in organizations necessitate effective training.

In celebration of this partnership, Trainual is hosting events such as a VIP party and a discussion featuring Suns/Mercury CEO Josh Bartelstein and EVP & CRO Dan Costello at their Playbook conference. Looking ahead, there are plans to leverage Trainual’s software for documenting best practices concerning large-scale events, such as the All-Star weekend.

This partnership illustrates Trainual’s commitment to enhancing employee training systems, particularly in industries where customer engagement is paramount. The collaboration with the Phoenix Suns and Mercury not only positions Trainual for growth but also signifies the increasing recognition of effective onboarding systems as a vital component of team success.

This partnership is hopeful for the future, showcasing how companies like Trainual can make a tangible difference in supporting organizations that prioritize customer experience, ultimately benefiting both teams and their employees. It’s a promising step toward fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in service within the sports industry.
