RSVPs for the upcoming event have already reached capacity, highlighting the significant interest generated by this unique opportunity. KCRW, in collaboration with Vidiots and Netflix, is set to host a special screening of the film “Train Dreams” in 35mm, followed by a discussion featuring director and co-writer Clint Bentley, co-writer Greg Kwedar, and cinematographer Adolpho Veloso.

Based on the novella by the same name, “Train Dreams” tells the profound story of Robert Grainier, a logger and railroad worker whose life unfolds with unexpected depth amidst the transformative changes of early 20th Century America.

Attendees are invited to arrive as the doors will open at 6:30 PM, with the screening scheduled to begin at 7:30 PM, followed by the conversation. While this event is primarily for KCRW members, who have priority access, there is a possibility for non-members to be admitted if space allows, though guests must RSVP to potentially secure entry. Admission is free and will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis, but it’s important to note that an RSVP does not guarantee entry.

KCRW members enjoy exclusive benefits, including priority RSVP windows for partner screenings and early admission to selected events. Those interested in taking advantage of these perks and supporting KCRW’s community outreach are encouraged to consider membership or making a donation. This event promises to be a culturally enriching experience, offering insights into a significant cinematic work and the creative processes behind it.
