Tragic Loss: Young Dance Leader Remembered by AGT Team

The Los Osos High School dance team, which participated in Season 19 of America’s Got Talent, announced on Instagram the tragic passing of their 17-year-old captain, Emily Gold. The team expressed their grief, stating, “It is with such a heavy heart that we share the passing of our beautiful, kind, and loving Emily Gold. Emily has always embodied our core team values through her strength, commitment, kindness, compassion, and humility. She will be remembered as a leader, role model, friend, and sister to her teammates.”

As part of their statement, the team expressed their love for Emily, saying, “We love you endlessly and miss you more than words can ever express.” They also urged the community to keep the Gold family in their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

According to reports from the San Bernardino Coroner’s Office, Emily Gold’s death was ruled a suicide. In response to the tragedy, a GoFundMe campaign was initiated to support her family, aiming to raise $50,000 to assist with expenses. As of now, the campaign has gathered approximately $37,000.

The AGT production team extended their condolences, stating, “The AGT Family sends out our heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and team members of Emily Gold. She was a bright young soul and will be deeply missed.”

The Los Osos dance group received praise during their AGT Audition for their performance, which opened the season. Judge Simon Cowell described their act as “brilliant,” leading them to the Quarterfinals where they performed again.
