The lifeless body of actor and model Humaira Asghar Ali was discovered in her rented apartment in Karachi’s Defence Housing Authority on Tuesday, raising concerns and prompting an investigation by the police. Authorities, led by South DIG Syed Asad Raza, confirmed that Ali, aged 32, had likely passed away approximately two weeks before her body was found.
The grim discovery occurred at a flat located in Ittehad Commercial in Phase-VI when the Gizri police were acting on a directive from a local court to vacate the apartment. After receiving no response from inside, officers broke the lock and entered, revealing the body in a state of advanced decomposition. The Crime Scene Unit promptly arrived to gather evidence.
Dr. Summaiya Syed, a police surgeon, noted the body’s condition upon its arrival at the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, where it was taken for legal proceedings. At this stage, the cause of death is still under investigation, and no further details have been disclosed by the authorities.
Humaira Asghar Ali was known for her participation in the ARY reality show Tamasha Ghar and her role in the 2015 film Jalaibee, indicating her contributions to the entertainment industry.
