Tottenham Hotspur has officially reached an agreement with Igor Tudor to take on the role of their new manager, following the dismissal of Thomas Frank this week after a disappointing home defeat to Newcastle United. Tudor, who previously managed Juventus, is expected to finalize his contract, which will run until June, in time to lead the team before their upcoming Premier League match against Arsenal on February 22.

The decision to part ways with Frank came just hours after the team’s 2-1 loss, prompting Spurs to explore both immediate and long-term managerial options. Among the candidates considered were Marco Rose and Edin Terzic, while former boss Mauricio Pochettino was also seen as a potential returnee, especially after the upcoming World Cup.

Tudor, 47, boasts a wealth of experience, having managed several clubs including Hajduk Split, PAOK, Galatasaray, and Marseille. His last position at Juventus saw him sacked in October after the team failed to secure a win in eight consecutive matches. As a player, Tudor made a significant impact, representing Juventus in 174 games.

Tottenham’s current position in the Premier League is concerning, with the club sitting at 16th place and just five points above the relegation zone. The hope is that Tudor’s leadership will bring new energy and direction to the team as they aim to improve their standings in the league.

In a climate where managerial changes can lead to revitalization within teams, Spurs fans will be eager to see what Tudor can bring during this pivotal period of the season.
