Tomorrowland, one of the premier electronic dance music (EDM) festivals in the world, is set to host its inaugural full-scale Asia edition in Thailand this December. The event will take place in the vibrant beach town of Pattaya from December 11 to 13, showcasing the country’s growing prominence in music, innovation, and experience-driven tourism.
Founded two decades ago by Belgian brothers Manu and Michiel Beers, Tomorrowland has established its reputation as a cornerstone of the global EDM scene. The festival is renowned for its imaginative staging and exuberant celebratory atmosphere, attracting attendees from all corners of the globe. For this highly anticipated Thai edition, organizers are expecting over 50,000 music enthusiasts each day.
Ticket pre-registration will open on January 8, with a “full madness pass” granting access across all three days priced at 12,500 baht (approximately $400 or £300). A single-day pass will be available for 5,100 baht. Further details regarding the festival’s theme and artist lineup are expected to be announced soon.
While Tomorrowland has previously hosted events in various Asian cities, this marks the first complete festival experience in Asia that mirrors the scale of its flagship event in Belgium. Thailand has secured a five-year agreement to host Tomorrowland, with projections estimating an economic impact of 21 billion baht (around $673 million or £497 million) over this period.
Bruno Vanwelsenaers, CEO of Tomorrowland, expressed enthusiasm about expanding the festival to a new continent, calling it a remarkable milestone and the beginning of a promising long-term narrative. Thailand’s emergence as a key player in the live music industry is also noteworthy; the country held prominent international music festivals such as the Electric Daisy Carnival and Creamfields last year, and Bangkok served as a stop on K-pop sensation Blackpink’s world tour.
As the homegrown music and arts festival Wonderfruit continues to grow in popularity, Thailand solidifies its status as an exciting destination on the global festival circuit, promising attendees an unforgettable combination of music, culture, and vibrant experiences.
