Tommy Fleetwood’s Left-Handed Challenge: Can He Break 100?

Tommy Fleetwood has made waves in the golfing community with the recent debut of his YouTube channel, which already has attracted an impressive 87,000 followers. Previously known for his appearances on major platforms like TaylorMade Golf, Fleetwood announced an exciting new venture on August 6, 2025: a golf series where he will attempt to break 100 as a left-handed player.

Since launching his YouTube channel in early July, he has already released three videos, starting with “How I Prep for a Major,” and has quickly garnered enthusiastic responses from his fanbase. In his latest video, viewers shared their admiration for his skills, with encouraging comments suggesting he could easily break 100, even with a left-handed swing. Fans expressed their excitement about Fleetwood’s journey, with one noting that it would be “absolute cinema” to see him win a PGA event left-handed.

Fleetwood has experienced both highs and lows throughout his career. With seven victories on the DP World Tour, his success in Europe is notable; however, he is still in search of his first win on the PGA Tour, despite achieving 42 top-10 finishes. A particularly heartbreaking moment came in June 2025 during the Travellers Championship in Connecticut, when Fleetwood lost a narrow lead to Keegan Bradley. Despite this setback, he remains optimistic. “Obviously there’s a lot of chat about it. I would have loved to have done it today, the search goes on, I guess,” he reflected post-tournament.

His sportsmanship shines through as Fleetwood reminisces about his silver medal win at the 2024 Paris Olympics, where he finished second to Scottie Scheffler. “It feels unbelievably special…standing on that podium with a medal was one of the most amazing moments I’ve had as a golfer,” Fleetwood expressed.

As he enters the first weekend of the FedEx Cup, Fleetwood is currently positioned ninth in rank. Last year, he achieved a T3 finish at the FedEx St. Jude Championship, and he looks forward to returning to form this weekend at TPC Southwind in Memphis, Tennessee.

With his positivity, determination, and the steadfast support from his fans, Tommy Fleetwood continues to be a beloved figure in the sport, and his journey on and off the course inspires many. As he embarks on this unique challenge of playing left-handed, fans will undoubtedly be cheering him on every step of the way.
