Tokyo’s New Business Hub: The Future of Flexible Workspaces

Compass Offices has announced the pre-launch of the new “Compass Office WTC Annex” business center in the vibrant Minato-ku district of Tokyo, Japan. This highly anticipated facility is set to officially open in March 2025 and is currently inviting prospective clients to book guided tours.

Kazuya Morikawa, Country Manager of Compass Offices Japan, highlighted that this project is a collaboration with the World Trade Center Building Center Co., Ltd., aimed at redeveloping the area around Hamamatsucho Station. The WTC Annex is expected to not only serve as a flexible office space but also contribute to the area’s overall redevelopment, enhancing its commercial atmosphere and value.

Spanning the entire 11th and 12th floors, the business center will cover approximately 1880 square meters and feature a range of amenities, including private offices for teams of up to 50 people, meeting rooms equipped with advanced technology, and club lounge spaces offering impressive views of Tokyo Tower.

The WTC Annex will be equipped with robust business continuity planning technologies, ensuring operations can continue for up to 72 hours without power or water during emergencies. Additionally, the center offers a tailored Enterprise Solution that allows larger organizations to customize their office spaces according to specific requirements, providing a versatile working environment.

Located conveniently near public transport options, including direct links to major stations and Haneda International Airport, the WTC Annex ensures easy access for business travelers. The premises also promote a collaborative community that encourages networking among tenants.

Since its first location in Japan opened in 2011, Compass Offices has aimed to support corporate and entrepreneurial growth in the region. The upcoming launch of the WTC Annex signifies the company’s commitment to expanding its footprint in Japan, signaling optimism for continued growth in the flexible workspace sector.

This planned expansion reflects a positive trend in the shift toward flexible working arrangements, accommodating the evolving needs of businesses as they adapt to new operational practices in a post-pandemic world. The strategic location and modern amenities of the WTC Annex will likely make it a sought-after destination for businesses looking to thrive in Tokyo’s competitive market.
