Students at Toga District School recently embraced the spirit of leadership as the institution held an induction ceremony for its new prefects last Friday. With 58 students stepping into pivotal roles, including two head prefects and two deputy head prefects, the event underscored the significance of commitment and service within the school community.
The school’s lay preacher, Isireli Tuitoga, served as the chief guest at the ceremony, emphasizing the important responsibilities that accompany the prefect positions. He urged the students to support their teachers and contribute positively to their school environment. “You have an important responsibility in helping the teachers and serving the school, and you should carry out your duties with all your heart,” he stated.
The ceremony was attended by proud parents, who participated in the event by placing badges on their children, officially marking their entry into leadership roles. This celebration not only highlights the students’ new responsibilities but also fosters a sense of pride and community involvement within the school as they embark on this journey of leadership and service.
