Columbus is set to welcome a unique Titanic tribute with plans for the city’s first Titanic-themed hotel, restaurant, and spa, projected to open in 2028. Developed by Unsinkable Hotels, this boutique establishment aims to provide an immersive experience reminiscent of life aboard the historic ship, appealing to both locals and tourists.
The decision to locate this breakout project in Columbus comes with several compelling reasons. As the second-largest city in the Midwest, Columbus is home to numerous Fortune 500 companies and attracts millions of visitors year-round. Notably, the city has a historical connection to the Titanic, as two passengers who survived the disaster famously fell in love while aboard a lifeboat and later married.
While specifics regarding the exact location within one of the city’s economically distressed “Opportunity Zones” have yet to be disclosed, the project reflects a strategic investment initiative designed to enhance the local economy while providing tax benefits for investors.
The hotel promises a range of captivating features, including recreated interiors from the Titanic, such as a First Class Dining Saloon and Cafe Parisien, alongside a Boat Deck Bar. Additional amenities will include elegant suites, a spa, a rooftop bar, a saltwater swimming bath, and even a squash court, ensuring a luxurious and entertaining experience for guests.
Currently, Unsinkable Hotels is in the process of seeking investors to bring this ambitious vision to life. This development not only marks a significant step for Columbus’s tourism sector but also offers a nostalgic homage to a pivotal piece of maritime history.
This innovative project has the potential to revitalize areas of the city, offering both economic growth and an exciting new destination for visitors, fostering community engagement and historical appreciation.
