TISA Insurance (Fiji) Ltd, previously known as Capital Insurance Ltd, has joined the efforts to bolster the Women Invigorating the Nation (WIN) Convention 2026. This annual event is organized by the Women Entrepreneurs Business Council (WEBC), which is part of the Fiji Commerce & Employers Federation (FCEF). The company formalized its commitment by signing a Letter of Understanding with FCEF on Wednesday, designating TISA as both a strategic partner and platinum sponsor for the upcoming convention, scheduled for March 27 to 28 at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva.

During the signing event, TISA’s CEO David Ariff Chan emphasized the convention’s significance as a vital national platform that bridges aspirations with opportunities. He noted the 2026 theme, “Give to Gain: Investing in Women, Transform our Future,” highlights a crucial aspect for Fiji on social, economic, and national levels. “At TISA Insurance, we believe that investing in women-led enterprises is essential,” Mr. Chan stated. He further stressed that strong participation of women in the economy leads to better business performance, increased family security, and more resilient communities.

WEBC chairwoman Jyoti Maharaj remarked that the collaboration with TISA Insurance illustrates a mutual understanding of the importance of investing in women and bolstering Fiji’s economy. She expressed optimism about the partnership, describing the Memorandum of Understanding as the start of a productive collaboration aimed at delivering a convention that develops leaders, fortifies enterprises, and ensures sustainable progress.

FCEF’s CEO Edward Bernard acknowledged TISA Insurance’s significant support, noting that the WIN Convention is the largest professional and entrepreneurial event for women in the nation. Mr. Bernard expressed FCEF’s commitment to facilitating a successful WIN Convention in 2026 and highlighted the importance of these partnerships in fostering women’s leadership and entrepreneurship in Fiji.

With this growing support for women’s initiatives, the future looks promising as TISA Insurance and associated organizations work together to empower women and strengthen the fabric of the Fijian economy.
