This week, Ed Easton Jr. from Chiefs Wire had the opportunity to speak with Tim Tebow, the retired NFL quarterback and College Football Hall of Famer. During the conversation, Tebow discussed his role as an ambassador for the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team and shared his insights on the Kansas City Chiefs’ tough 2025 season as they approach Week 15 against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Tebow highlighted the importance of the Allstate Good Works Team, which acknowledges the top 20 most charitable student-athletes in college football, alongside one honorary head coach. As the program’s ambassador, Tebow, a former team captain, is dedicated to recognizing athletes who exemplify community service.

He congratulated the three finalists for the Allstate Wuerffel Trophy, which honors exemplary community service and academic performance. This year’s finalists include Michael Taaffe from Texas, who promotes fentanyl awareness, and Tanner Wall from BYU, known for mentoring students internationally and supporting families in need. The announcement of the Good Works Team Captain will take place live on December 12 during the ESPN Home Depot College Football Awards.

In his interview, Tebow reflected on the challenges facing the Chiefs this season. He recognized that with star players like Patrick Mahomes, Andy Reid, and Travis Kelce, expectations are sky-high. Currently holding a 6-7 record, he noted that while reaching the playoffs is a tough hill to climb, the team’s achievements should not be underestimated.

Tebow expressed optimism for the Chiefs’ future. “If they don’t make the playoffs, I think you’ll see a motivated team with an edge that wants to bounce back,” he said, emphasizing the immense talent within the squad. He believes that with their core players and strong defensive lineup, particularly highlighting their top defensive tackle, they have the foundation to rebound in the coming seasons.

The Chiefs are set to host the Chargers on Sunday, looking to keep their playoff aspirations alive for at least another week. Tebow remains hopeful about Kansas City’s ability to recover and succeed in the long term.
