The Arizona State football team improved to 3-0 this season with a thrilling 31-28 victory over Texas State on Thursday night in San Marcos, Texas, equaling their total win count from the previous season.
The Sun Devils staged a comeback after falling behind 21-7, managing to even the score at 21-21 by halftime. They continued to push in the second half, scoring 10 consecutive points to secure the win after trailing 28-21.
Quarterback Sam Leavitt completed 19 of 30 passes for ASU, throwing for one touchdown and rushing for another. Running back Cam Skattebo contributed with two rushing touchdowns, despite being held to 62 yards on 24 carries.
