A tragic incident occurred in Burelevu Village, Saivou, Ra, where a three-year-old boy is suspected to be the latest victim of drowning following an event at the Wainibuka River yesterday afternoon. According to police reports, the child allegedly wandered away from his home unnoticed and went to swim in the river.
When family members realized he was missing, they immediately raised the alarm, leading local villagers to organize a search party. Sadly, the boy’s body was later discovered along the riverbank and transported to Wainimaro Hospital by relatives.
