This Is Boxing: Fiji Set for Four-Title Showdown with International Lineup

Boxing enthusiasts are gearing up for an exhilarating evening next week as Stratum Zeg Kings Promotions presents its highly anticipated “This Is Boxing” event. Scheduled for November 1, the event promises to be a spectacular night filled with intense competition, featuring four championship titles on the line.

The fight card boasts an impressive lineup, including bouts for the WBA Oceania Interim Title, WBA Oceania Title, the NZPBC Welterweight Title, and the Super Middleweight BCF Title. Promoter Nahroon Buksh expressed his excitement, anticipating a vibrant atmosphere fueled by the quality of the matchups.

“We have 13 professional fights scheduled, and each matchup is thrilling,” Buksh stated. “Preparations are on track, and we’re confident we’ll see a great turnout.”

International participation in this event adds to the excitement, with fighters arriving from various countries including Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, and India. Among them is Apichart Klintai from Thailand, who will face local boxer Binnu Singh in the main event, promising an electrifying clash.

In a move to widen the event’s reach, Buksh announced a partnership with the Fijian Broadcasting Corporation to broadcast the matches live on their online platform, www.viti.plus, with a pay-per-view option available for $99 FJD.

Earlier in the year, Buksh had similar success with another event, emphasizing the importance of creating opportunities for local fighters to showcase their skills against international competition. With 13 fights scheduled, including multiple title bouts, both local and international talent will be on display, highlighting the growing enthusiasm for boxing in Fiji.

This forthcoming event not only highlights the competitiveness and spirit of local boxing but also reinforces the potential of the sport’s growth in the region. As fans look forward to this anticipated night, the event signifies a positive and promising future for boxing in Fiji, nurturing young talents and fostering a thriving boxing community.
