However, just as the characters are set to leave in safety, Fede escapes and ignites a fiery explosion, destroying their means of escape and shattering any sense of victory. This intense moment, accompanied by a haunting Spanish rendition of Johnny Cash’s “Hurt,” leaves viewers in shock, mirroring the characters’ despair as they witness their hopes go up in flames.
The finale provides closure to key storylines while addressing overarching themes of survival and sacrifice, echoing the events of previous season finales. Each character’s journey is skillfully explored, culminating in a performance by Reedus that resonates powerfully with the audience.
