Joe Walsh and Zac Brown are set to enhance the upcoming Season 28 of The Voice as mega mentors, bringing their wealth of musical experience to the NBC singing competition. Brown, known for leading the multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning Zac Brown Band, will join coaches Michael Bublé and Snoop Dogg. Meanwhile, Walsh, celebrated for his work with the Eagles and his solo career, will join Niall Horan and Reba McEntire as the contestants transition into the Knockouts beginning Monday, October 27.

In the Knockouts format, each coach starts with a team of eight artists. With no saves or steals allowed, the pressure mounts as coaches are tasked with selecting which artists will advance to the Playoffs, the final round before the Live Shows.

For this season, The Voice is introducing an exciting new feature: the “Mic Drop” button. This will allow each coach to highlight a standout performance from their team. Viewers at home will have the chance to vote for the “Mic Drop” winner from the four participating teams, with the artist receiving the most votes earning a coveted performance opportunity at the Rose Parade on January 1, 2026.

Zac Brown has made headlines not just for his chart-topping hits but also for the upcoming residency of the Zac Brown Band at Sphere in Las Vegas, marking a significant milestone as the first country group to do so, starting in December 2025. Joe Walsh, with a remarkable career that has spanned over fifty years, continues to shine. He was honored with the Kennedy Center Honors in 2016 and has dedicated himself to supporting veterans and their families through his nonprofit, VetsAid, launched in 2017.

With these dynamic talents joining The Voice, fans can look forward to a season filled with unforgettable performances and exciting new elements that enhance the competition.
