The Pretty Reckless has reason to celebrate as their version of “Where Are You Christmas?” has soared to the No. 1 position on Billboard’s Hot Hard Rock Songs chart. According to Billboard, the track garnered an impressive 2.7 million streams in the U.S. from December 19th to 25th, along with 326,000 radio audience impressions during the same week.
Originally crafted by Mariah Carey, James Horner, and Will Jennings for the classic film How the Grinch Stole Christmas, the song holds sentimental value for the band’s frontwoman, Taylor Momsen. She previously performed it in the movie as Cindy Lou Who during her early career in acting.
The new rendition of “Where Are You Christmas?” features a blending of Taylor’s original vocals with the band’s modern rock flair, marking a significant milestone as it is The Pretty Reckless’ first No. 1 on the Hot Hard Rock Songs chart, a ranking that has been in place since 2020.
Additionally, the band has been busy with other festive projects, including the release of their Christmas EP titled “Taylor Momsen’s Pretty Reckless Christmas,” which is now available for streaming. The nostalgic video for “Where Are You Christmas?” adds another layer to the holiday spirit that fans have embraced.
With their latest achievements, The Pretty Reckless continues to capture the hearts of audiences while reflecting on cherished memories, offering a blend of nostalgia and fresh interpretations this holiday season.
