The highly anticipated second season of “The Hunting Wives” is shaping up with the addition of Kim Matula and Alex FitzAlan as recurring guest stars. Netflix has confirmed that Matula will take on the role of Nadia Kelly, while FitzAlan will portray Lincoln Trout. While specific details regarding their characters remain undisclosed, their involvement is expected to bring exciting new dynamics to the show.
Returning to the series are fan favorites Brittany Snow, Malin Akerman, Jaime Ray Newman, Dermot Mulroney, Evan Jonigkeit, George Ferrier, Karen Rodriguez, Hunter Emery, and Branton Box, with further casting announcements anticipated. Production for the new season is currently underway in the United States, and the season will be exclusively available on Netflix.
“The Hunting Wives” had an unconventional journey to Netflix, initially being developed for Lionsgate TV’s Starz. Following a rights acquisition due to a studio split in May, the first season found its way to Netflix in a unique one-year domestic licensing agreement.
Created by Rebecca Cutter, the show’s first season drew inspiration from May Cobb’s bestselling novel. However, fans can look forward to an original storyline in Season 2, which continues the thrilling saga. As the season unfolds, both Sophie (Brittany Snow) and Margo (Malin Akerman) find themselves estranged, but the emergence of old secrets and new adversaries compels them to reunite. As they navigate their dangerous games, the burning question remains: who are the true hunters and who are the hunted?
With Cutter leading the project alongside Erwin Stoff for 3 Arts Entertainment and Cobb, there’s much to be excited about as “The Hunting Wives” prepares for its return, promising twists and turns that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats.
