Meryl Streep and Stanley Tucci have been spotted filming scenes for the highly anticipated sequel, The Devil Wears Prada 2, in New York City. Production began on June 30, and the film is set to hit theaters on May 1, 2026. Both Streep, who reprises her iconic role as Miranda Priestly, and Tucci, returning as art director Nigel Kipling, were photographed stylishly walking together in midtown Manhattan. Anne Hathaway also joined the crew, bringing back her character, Andrea “Andy” Sachs.

Several new cast members have been announced, including Kenneth Branagh, who will play Miranda’s husband, and Patrick Brammall, who replaces Adrian Grenier as Hathaway’s love interest. The sequel promises a fresh storyline where Miranda navigates the challenges of traditional magazine publishing in decline, facing off against Blunt’s character, who is now a high-powered executive.

Emily Blunt, who portrays Miranda’s assistant Emily Charlton, humorously reflected on the characters’ rivalry in previous films during an interview, noting the passage of time since the original movie in 2006.

With a mix of beloved returning cast members and exciting new additions, The Devil Wears Prada 2 is shaping up to be a worthy follow-up to the original film, which continues to resonate with audiences. The film’s exploration of the fashion industry’s evolution could provide not only entertainment but also insightful commentary on contemporary publishing challenges.
