The acclaimed FX series “The Bear,” which is available for streaming on Hulu, is preparing to conclude its impactful run with its upcoming fifth season. Currently filming in and around Chicago, this Emmy-winning show has captivated audiences since its debut. The final season is anticipated to premiere later this year, following the trend of previous seasons that launched as binge releases in late June.

Jamie Lee Curtis, who has garnered an Emmy for her performance as the mother of Carmy (Jeremy Allen White) and Natalie (Abby Elliott), recently affirmed in an interview with Entertainment Tonight that the show is indeed approaching its conclusion. “It is the end of the show,” she stated, clarifying speculation sparked by a February 17 Instagram post in which she mentioned “completing the story” of “The Bear.” She emphasized that the show’s end has been well-known to fans, as it was communicated from the onset.

Despite FX’s refusal to comment on this development, there have been ample hints throughout the series pointing to a finite storyline. White previously revealed that series creator Christopher Storer had envisioned a four-season narrative arc. The conclusion of season four was particularly telling; its finale, titled “Goodbye,” featured Carmy’s decision to step away from both his restaurant and the culinary world, highlighting the themes of grief and trauma that permeate the show.

In July 2025, FX confirmed a fifth season just a week after the fourth season’s debut, further solidifying the show’s place in the hearts of fans. “The Bear” has achieved remarkable success, winning 21 Emmy Awards across its three seasons, including the prestigious Best Comedy Series award in 2023. The stellar cast, which includes talents like Ayo Edebiri, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Liza Colon-Zayas, and Jon Bernthal, has also earned numerous accolades.

As viewers prepare to say farewell to the series, anticipation grows around the narrative resolution that Storer and his team will deliver. “The Bear” is not just a show about cooking but a deep exploration of personal journeys, family dynamics, and resilience in the face of adversity. This rich narrative offers a poignant reminder that even the toughest chapters can lead to meaningful conclusions.
