The second season of “The Bear” has achieved a remarkable milestone by receiving 23 Emmy nominations, making it the comedy series with the highest number of nominations in Emmy history.
The Hulu show aims to secure another win in the Outstanding Comedy category. Its Emmy-winning cast members, including Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach, have all received nominations for this season as well.
“It’s the greatest job I’ve ever had,” White expressed. “I love everybody in the cast. I love everybody in the crew. It’s changed my life.”
Edebiri praised the show’s creator and director, Chris Storer, stating, “I love Chris Storer. I think there’s a level of artistry that he’s really pushing himself with that is very exciting.”
Moss-Bachrach remarked, “I’m very honored. I just take it as a testament to the show.”
In a notable highlight, A-list guest stars like Jamie Lee Curtis, Olivia Colman, Jon Bernthal, Will Poulter, and Bob Odenkirk have also received nominations for their performances in “The Bear.”
Additionally, this season marks the first time supporting cast members Liza Colón-Zayas and Lionel Boyce have received nominations. Colón-Zayas shared her joy, mentioning, “I love that people relate to her. That they feel like she’s family.”
During the Season 3 premiere, Boyce excitedly stated, “I’m freaking out on the inside. You can’t see it ‘cause I’m wearing an undershirt, but I’m sweating!”
All episodes of the Emmy-nominated Season 2 of “The Bear,” along with the recently released Season 3, are available for streaming on Hulu. Disney, the parent company of FX, Hulu, and the station airing this news, continues to support the series.
