Katherine recounted this memorable outing on Extra, revealing her initial nerves about spending a five-hour drive with someone she barely knew. However, the lengthy trip created an opportunity for deep conversation and connection. She said, “It was definitely a risk to take a five-hour drive with someone that you don’t know, but it lended itself to a lot of talking and conversation.”
The pair actually first crossed paths at church, where Chris couldn’t help but notice Katherine. On The Drew Barrymore Show, he humorously admitted to “sneaking glances” at her during service. “You kind of don’t want to be like, ‘Whoa, who is that?’ at church, you know what I mean,” he said, reflecting on his initial attraction.
