Texas Powerball drawing update: Nearly 100,000 winning tickets sold in Texas for Monday’s drawing, with more than a third of them opting for Power Play

Texas Lottery officials reported 99,844 winning Powerball tickets sold in the state for Monday’s drawing, a figure that underscores the strong participation of Texas players on a night when the prize was especially large. More than one-third of those Texas winners added Power Play to their tickets, boosting potential non-jackpot prizes.

Jackpot no-show, but prizes awarded
Before the drawing, Powerball’s advertised jackpot stood at 776.7 million dollars. After the draw, there was no ticket that matched all six numbers to claim the top prize. The winning numbers were 16, 19, 34, 37, 64, with Powerball 22 and a Power Play multiplier of x3.

Among Texas winners
– Four Texas tickets matched four of five white balls plus the Powerball, each earning $50,000. Had any of those tickets added Power Play, their prize would have been $150,000.
– There was also a Match 5 Million ticket sold in Texas, adding another million-dollar win to the state’s tally. The Texas Lottery did not disclose where the three $50,000 tickets were purchased, but the million-dollar Match 5 Million ticket was bought as a quick-pick at Broadway Food Store on Broadway in Houston.

Texas Two-Step prizes not far away
In addition to Powerball excitement, Texas players collected a pair of big prizes in the Texas Two-Step game the same week:
– A jackpot win in Arlington at the Tom Thumb on West Park Row.
– A separate $200,000 prize from the August 21 drawing won at Market Basket Grocery Store in Beaumont.

What’s next
Players’ luck turns again soon with Mega Millions drawing later tonight and Powerball drawing on Wednesday for an estimated $815 million (annuitized). Lotto Texas with Extra! also drawing Wednesday, with the top prize estimated at about $49.5 million.
