Mario Craver has made a remarkable impact on the Texas A&M Aggies this season, establishing himself as a key player in coach Mike Elko’s offense after transferring from the Mississippi State Bulldogs. In his inaugural year at Texas A&M, Craver recorded an impressive 52 receptions for 825 yards and four touchdowns, highlighted by a standout 207-yard game against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

Craver’s performance has not only contributed to the team’s success but has also positioned him for a lucrative future. Reports from The Business of Athletes indicate that Craver has agreed to a contract extension, making him the highest-paid wide receiver in Texas A&M history.

Making an immediate impact, Craver showcased his skills in the opening game against the UTSA Roadrunners, tallying eight catches for 122 yards and two touchdowns. He continued to shine the following week against the Utah State Aggies, with a five-catch, 114-yard game that included another touchdown.

His most notable performance came against Notre Dame, where he caught seven passes for 207 yards, including an electrifying 86-yard touchdown, contributing significantly to Texas A&M’s thrilling 41-40 victory. Additionally, Craver added a rushing touchdown against his former team, the Mississippi State Bulldogs.

Though he faced some setbacks later in the season, including limited targets due to injury against South Carolina and missing the game against Samford, Craver made a comeback for the season finale against the Texas Longhorns, where he recorded five catches for 44 yards in a 27-17 loss.

His exceptional play earned him a spot on the third-team All-SEC, and with fellow receiver KC Concepcion’s future still uncertain, Craver could take on a larger leadership role within the Aggies’ receiving corps next season, alongside Ashton Bethel-Roman.

Looking ahead, Craver and the Aggies are focused on the upcoming challenge, preparing to face the Miami Hurricanes in the first round of the College Football Playoff this Saturday, as they seek to continue their successful campaign.
