Texas A&M Scores Big with Five-Star Recruit Brandon Arrington!

Texas A&M football has had a remarkable June on the recruiting front, highlighted by the addition of five-star athlete Brandon Arrington from Spring Valley, California. Arrington chose the Aggies over Oregon, marking a significant milestone as Texas A&M’s first five-star recruit for the 2026 class.

Ranked as the No. 2 athlete in the nation and 29th overall by 247Sports, Arrington has made a name for himself not only on the football field but also as a track star. At 6-foot-2 and 180 pounds, he was honored as the Gatorade California Boys Track & Field Player of the Year during his sophomore year, showcasing his sprinting prowess with impressive times in the 100 meters (10.33 seconds) and 200 meters (20.55 seconds).

Arrington’s contributions extend to both offense and defense at Mount Miguel High School, where he has excelled as a wide receiver and cornerback. In the recent season, he recorded 57 receptions for 527 yards and five touchdowns, while also making an impact defensively with 26 tackles, three pass breakups, and one interception.

His commitment adds to the momentum for Texas A&M, bringing the total to 18 recruits in the 2026 class and marking the seventh commitment in June alone. The Aggies are currently positioned second in the overall rankings according to 247Sports composite rankings, illustrating a strong start to their recruiting efforts.
