The report characterized Tesla’s move as a “stunning reversal” for CEO Elon Musk, who has previously expressed criticism of Apple and its policies, particularly after former Tesla engineers were recruited for Apple’s now-abandoned autonomous vehicle project. Tesla’s sales have reportedly been declining, with some customers citing the lack of CarPlay as a reason for their reluctance to purchase a Tesla vehicle.
