Temple’s Jordan Mason also shone brightly during the game, finishing with 15 points while adding five rebounds, 12 assists, and four steals, demonstrating versatility and leadership on the court. Aiden Tobiason chipped in with 13 points, helping the Owls extend their winning streak to six consecutive games.
On the other side, UTSA struggled to find their rhythm, with Austin Nunez leading the Roadrunners’ scoring efforts with 12 points. Baboucarr Njie and Jamir Simpson both contributed 11 points each. Unfortunately for UTSA, this loss marks their seventh straight defeat, putting them at 4-10 for the season and 0-2 in conference play.
Temple took control of the game just before half-time, establishing a lead that they would not relinquish. With a strong finish to the first half, the Owls went into the break up 39-30, thanks in part to Mason’s ten points. The team continued to build momentum in the second half, executing a decisive 10-2 run that widened their lead to 17 points. Griffiths shone in the latter part of the game, contributing 17 points after the break, ensuring a resounding win for Temple.
