Judge David Matia sentenced Freeman to seven days in jail, along with 18 months of community control, after a tense session where he criticized her conduct during the legal proceedings, stating, “This is frankly a bizzarro breakup between two professionals.” The judge expressed concern over Freeman’s behavior, citing a pre-sentence investigation that revealed troubling patterns, including repeated instances of stalking her ex-boyfriend.
