Anamaria E. Milazzo, a 22-year-old woman from Elmira, New York, has been arrested for allegedly sending nude selfies to a 14-year-old boy. The Chemung County Sheriff’s Office reported that Milazzo faces serious charges, including disseminating indecent material to minors in the second degree, classified as a felony, as well as endangering the welfare of a child, which is a misdemeanor.

The investigation was initiated when a school resource officer at the Greater Southern Tier BOCES received a complaint about Milazzo’s actions. Authorities found that she had sent explicit images to the minor over a span of three months. Milazzo was employed at a BOCES facility, however, her employment was terminated following the allegations. Specific details regarding her role and the timing of her employment have not been disclosed.

The identity of the young boy involved remains confidential, and it is currently unknown whether he was a student at the same educational institution. Following her arrest, Milazzo was issued an appearance ticket for future court proceedings at the Wellsburg Village Court.

This incident serves as a stark reminder of the responsibilities that come with working in educational environments, emphasizing the importance of safeguarding the welfare of students. While the allegations are deeply troubling, it is vital for communities to ensure that proper reporting and investigative procedures are in place to protect minors.
