FORT WORTH – TCU beach volleyball held its annual TCU Fall Challenge on Thursday and Friday, facing off against Texas counterparts HCU, TAMU-CC, and Texas on the sand courts in a modified pool play format. The event featured eight pools with four pairings each day, with every pair from TCU and the visiting teams playing two matches daily.
Three TCU pairings achieved an unblemished record of 4-0 in the challenge: Deniela Konstantinova and Anete Namike, Hallie Corrine Frist and Jordyn MacTavish, and Anhelina Khmil and Kaitlyn Bradley.
DAY ONE
On Thursday, five TCU pairings topped their respective pools.
Tania Moreno and Sofia Izuzquiza – Pool A (2-0)
Defeated TAMU-CC’s Bennett: 21-15, 21-9
Defeated Texas’s Kuivonen/Parmelly: 21-10, 15-21, 15-7
Due to injuries, Moreno teamed up with Ana Vergara to complete the challenge.
