Taylor Swift delighted her fans with a double surprise: the release of a music video for her song “I Can Do It With A Broken Heart” and a behind-the-scenes glimpse of her “Eras Tour.”
On August 20, following her final performance of the European leg in London, the music video was showcased on the large screen at Wembley Stadium as Swift exited the stage. Swift’s team shared a post on social media that the video would officially debut at 6 p.m. ET.
The music video features Swift and her dancers during rehearsals for the “Eras Tour,” which launched in March 2023 in Glendale, Arizona, and has since taken her across the United States, Mexico, South America, Australia, Asia, and Europe. The footage captures various moments of Swift rehearsing on sound stages, on the “Eras” set, and behind the scenes with her crew.
Fans quickly took to social media, sharing clips from the London premiere of the music video. Supportive comments flooded in, with one fan expressing excitement, “Oh BTS Taylor you are so highly anticipated,” and another adding, “We are so ready!”
“I Can Do It With A Broken Heart” is featured on Swift’s upcoming album “The Tortured Poets Department,” set to release on April 19, 2024. The lyrics appear to reflect her emotions during her performances while navigating heartbreak, leading fans to speculate that it may be about either her six-year relationship with Joe Alwyn, which ended publicly in April 2023, or rumors of a relationship with Matty Healy.
Currently, Swift is in a relationship with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, who made a cameo onstage at the “Eras Tour” in June, just before Swift performed “I Can Do It With A Broken Heart” in London.
With her European tour dates wrapped up, Swift will take a break of nearly two months before resuming her tour in Canada and various U.S. cities, concluding on December 8, 2024, in Vancouver.
