Taylor Swift is encouraging Travis Kelce to embrace new opportunities as he steps into the world of acting. Ryan Murphy, the director of Kelce’s upcoming FX series “Grotesquerie,” revealed that Swift has been very supportive of her boyfriend’s new venture. Murphy shared that their discussions focused on Swift’s encouragement for Kelce to explore his interests.
At the premiere of “Grotesquerie” in New York, Murphy expressed his admiration for Swift, stating that he has heard nothing but positive things about her. He also noted that when it came to working with Kelce, the football star didn’t require any coaching, proclaiming him to be a natural talent.
Murphy praised Kelce’s charisma and intelligence, remarking, “He had a window of time. He asked me to work up something for him. I did. It was an honor.” Kelce appears alongside Niecy Nash in the first episode of the series, and Murphy highlighted his strong work ethic and leadership on set.
Notably, Kelce faced his fears of vulnerability while acting, and when Murphy reworked a scene, Kelce memorized the new lines in just ten minutes, delivering them flawlessly.
As Swift publicly supports Kelce, she made an appearance at one of his games with the Kansas City Chiefs. Murphy, optimistic about Kelce’s future in Hollywood, stated that if Kelce aspires to be a major movie star, he has the potential to achieve it, declaring, “The world is his oyster.”
“Grotesquerie” is set to premiere with two episodes on September 25 at 10 p.m. on FX, with streaming available on Hulu the following day.
