Tate McRae is gearing up for a busy 2025, announcing the release of her third studio album titled “So Close to What,” set to launch on February 21. This new album will encapsulate the experiences of growing up, as McRae herself described the journey ahead as feeling infinite. She initiated this album’s rollout with the lead single “It’s ok I’m ok” and is poised to release another single, “2 hands,” very soon.
Following the album release, the Canadian pop sensation will embark on her Miss Possessive Tour, kicking off in Mexico City at the Pepsi Centre on March 18. The extensive tour will include a total of 50 dates covering North America, South America, Europe, and the UK, alongside various festival appearances. Notably, Swedish artist Zara Larsson will join McRae for the Americas leg, while New Zealand’s Benee will be featured in Europe and the UK.
At just 21, McRae has already made significant strides in her music career. Her debut album “I Used to Think I Could Fly” was released in 2022 and was followed by her critically acclaimed sophomore album “Think Later” in December 2023, which included chart-topping hits like “Greedy” and “Exes.”
In a positive note, McRae’s journey reflects her value connection with young audiences who experience similar feelings of uncertainty and exploration. As she sets out on this new chapter, McRae’s ability to share genuine experiences through her music continues to earn her accolades and a devoted following. Her upcoming tour promises to be an exciting opportunity for fans to engage with her vibrant artistry.
