Tappoo emerged as the dominant force in the 2025 Lautoka Business House Netball competition, securing the championship title with a convincing 29–17 victory over Fiji Airways in the grand final held on Thursday night at the Lautoka Multipurpose Court.
In a match that showcased intense competition, Tappoo exhibited discipline and composure, especially in the second half, where they pulled ahead due to their formidable defensive performance. Their defenders were instrumental in the win, consistently disrupting Fiji Airways’ plays, forcing turnovers, and applying pressure effectively throughout the game.
Tappoo’s captain, Alipate Lagivala, credited their success to the trust and commitment within the team’s structure, stating, “Our game plan was to stick to our game plan. The competition was tough, but we just believed in ourselves and we believed in all our players that took that court.”
